ABOUT US

The 9G kneeboard was developed by the original owner of Hendricks Sewing Co. in the mid-1990’s. It was flight tested at Eglin AFB in F-15 fighter jets and that’s where the name of the kneeboard comes from – even at 9 G ‘s of acceleration, the kneeboard stayed in place. It has also survived numerous emergency ejections and stayed on the pilots’s knee.Since introduced, Hendricks Sewing Co has produced over 35,000 9G kneeboards for delivery to the U.S. Armed Forces. The board is also used by NATO military forces.

The Hendricks kneeboard was tested by NAVAIR and that model was the only one approved for use in Naval aircraft. Numerous safety of flight design changes were incorporated as a result of this testing and might not be incorporated if produced by an alternate source. If these features are not in the alternate product, it could pose a serious risk to pilot safety during carrier landings or if they were to eject from the aircraft.
